Founder & CEO, Savant Recruitment

I’m Jessica Smith, your go-to expert in tech recruitment with over a decade of experience.
Having navigated through the recruitment industry for 11 years, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering the ins and outs of tech talent acquisition.

My career kick-started in various recruitment firms, focusing on multiple sectors, but tech always had a special pull. This led me to a significant role in corporate tech, where I gained crucial insights and a deep understanding of the industry’s nuances. Constantly updating my knowledge on the latest tech trends, I’ve developed a knack for predicting upcoming market shifts, thanks to endless conversations with candidates about their tech preferences.

At Savant Recruitment, the company I proudly founded, we’ve transformed the recruitment process. The old, impersonal methods were no longer effective. We’ve embraced a personalized, candidate-centric approach, focusing on understanding individual skill sets and motivations. This strategy has fostered strong, lasting relationships and built a robust network in the tech community.

Our mission at Savant Recruitment is simple yet powerful: to revolutionize tech hiring.
Our approach is data-driven, relationship-focused, and always ahead of the curve. The impact? A vast network of satisfied clients and candidates, with 80% of our business coming from referrals. Our candidates are not just looking for a job; they seek experiences that add value to their lives, and that’s precisely what we deliver.

Join us at Savant Recruitment, where we’re not just recruiters - we’re tech enthusiasts, relationship builders, and game-changers in the tech recruitment space. Also, we're connected to some pretty awesome folks and can get you in front of the right people at any stage of your business.

Startups - If you need SR&ED, Grants, or Venture Capital - we will make introductions for you! Let’s shape the future of technology together.

Nour Hachem

Nour Hachem

President & Founder, Build A Dream

Nour utilizes her 15 years of experience as a workforce advisor, mentor, and influencer to inspire youth to make informed career choices that challenge the status quo.

Nour Hachem wants to change global perspectives on women’s contribution to society. Inspired by her mother’s perseverance to excel in a male-dominated field, Nour dug deep into the “why” behind the lack of women in skilled trades. She realized that the barriers keeping women out of these rewarding careers were common to other male-dominated paths, so she founded a non-profit to encourage and empower young women to explore careers they may never have considered.

Nour’s challenge to listeners is that one must first address internal preconceptions before being capable of making significant strides that transform our work and world. A brilliant connector and facilitator, audiences are drawn to her candour and unique perspective from an extensive career in workforce development and her lived experiences as a woman of colour. She shares energetic stories of what leaders are doing right and offers real-world examples of how embracing diverse workplaces accelerates success.

Nour earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor and expanded Build a Dream across Canada while completing her MBA, raising children, and earning many awards and accolades. Most recently, she WXN recognized her as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada in 2022. She spends each day following her passion: creating equity not just in the workplace, but in all the spaces around us.
